The Snapmaker 10W High Power Laser Module supports more than 20 kinds of materials for engraving and more than 10 for cutting. It is equipped with the most cutting-edge laser beam splitters, effecting a power leap from 5W to 10W.
I can confirm that on mine, the laser stays on and the fan spins up. I would suggest manually downloading the latest firmware here: Snapmaker 2.0 Firmware Updates and Downloads and putting it on the USB drive. Then select the USB drive and update file from the file select menu to ensure the snapmaker, and the 10W module is fully up to date.
