The wiring wasn't right so the laser had a ramping effect when engraving. Found a wiring [diagram] ( http://imgur/E2vZ4Ml) that worked after a couple other attempts. The laser software we use allows you to change the working mode of the laser head to allow you to engrave from bottom to top instead of the usual top to bottom. This has the advantage of reducing smoke and debris being pulled into the engraving area as the laser head moves. Use some gum remover to clean up the carving after it is completed.

Simply paste in the HPGL and the laser starts engraving. Unfortunately, my mod to control the clock rate of the DXY plotter board cannot be used. It would lower the baud rate for serial reception and create data errors. So all engraving must run at the maximum hardware speed. Hello, I have attached a video showing my problem, but for those who can't see it, I will describe my issue. Let' say I have my laser head out in the middle of my machine and the machine is on, but the lid is open. If it were working properly, when I close the lid the laser head would move all the way to the left, then to the top.
In the vector, select no fill, thinner line, and be shure that the exterior parameter are separate from interior lines. In other hand all the perimeters, exterior and interiors, need to be a closed line. And, in my experience, tracing used to put a doble lines in a lot of parts. I check this selecting lines and moving it apart.
