After squaring up the system and completing all set-up steps from the CancCNC user manual, I was ready for some test cuts. I followed the instructions from my control system manual and got to cutting. This system was ready to work right from the get go. The first cuts were crisp and clean. Add Tip.

Build the Frame. Choose a size for your CNC plasma cutting table. Using 2-inch square lengths of cold-rolled steel tubing, fabricate a table frame to your selected length and width. Use a welder to perform full-penetration welds at each seam to increase the stability of the table. On the top of the table base, make the X-axis frame to hold the ...
A lot of this could also probably be done with a CNC Router given a large enough table. The biggest challenge there is most of these projects are done in mild steel while typically CNC Routers will have spindles that go too fast for mild steel. Still, the projects could be done in aluminum or possibly in wood or plastics.

My criteria are easily squared, expandable, movable, and most importantly hackable. If you look around on the web there are a ton of DIY CNC Plasma Tables. They almost all have the same design. Some have wheels, some don’t. Some have a water table, some have down draft. But almost all, including the production level machines have the X axis ...

The gantry is mounted on the long axis so that when it is slid out of the way, access to the table with a full sheet of material is easy. CNC Plasma Table Plans for this plasma table… They had the various parts laser cut by a nearby supplier. Note the copious use of “tab and slot” construction. I see this a lot when parts are to be welded together. Also note that cutting out parts like this would be a perfect job for a plasma table (or laser or waterjet).

The following guide outlines the process of creating the mainframe for your DIY CNC plasma table. Start off by cutting the 4 x 2 x 3-inch tubing, followed by the 2 x 2 x ⅛ inch tubing. Next, cut the 4 x 4 x ⅛ inch tubing.
Step 15: Water Distribution 1. James took our pallet (2) and positioned our water storage drums (1) on it. James took our two 2x4' (4), cut them to length and screwed them onto the edge of the pallet to help stabilize the water storage drums (1). James took our metal straps (3) and secured the drums to the pallet.

This is a project for building you own CNC Plasma Cutting table using Arduino UNO and Raspberry Pi platforms. I started out looking to build a Plasma Cutter Table using an old Ez3D printer platform that I had sitting int he basement. I have started this project completely ignorant of how to build a plaatform like this and even to make it function.
